Jacques Chirac, former french President died on Thursday



While his funeral should be held on Monday, at the National Day of Mourning, at the Montparnasse Cemetery, a popular tribute will be given him the day before.

    The death of Jacques Chirac will cause several official ceremonies. Emmanuel Macron has decreed for Monday, September 30 a day of national mourning, during which will be held a solemn ceremony in the church of Saint-Sulpice, in the presence of several heads of states, says Europe 1. 

Before that, Sunday, a homage to the Invalides, still in Paris, will be returned to the former president, at the request of the Chirac family.

    This Friday, it was learned that the funeral of Jacques Chirac should take place on Monday, in strict family intimacy. His remains will rest at the Montparnasse cemetery, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, alongside his daughter Laurence disappeared in 2016.
