En visite à Beni, la cheffe de la MONUSCO a inauguré jeudi 27 juillet un projet d’éclairage public dans la localité d’Eringeti, l’une des plus importantes agglomérations du territoire de Beni. Il s’agit de 65 lampadaires alimentés à l’énergie solaire et installés sur une distance de cinq kilomètres. «Nous n’avons plus peur», se réjouit Jolie Mbambu, mère de famille dont le domicile jouxte une source d’eau naturelle près de laquelle un lampadaire a été installé. Elle raconte qu’avant l’installation des lampadaires, c’est à la lumière du téléphone que les femmes se rendaient à cette source d’eau pour s’approvisionner tôt dans la matinée ou tard le soir. «J’habite à Mutshonge.
