DRC Artist Hervé Mbelo The Artist of the DRC, Hervé MBELO was qualified among a total of 5,352 artists from 124 countries, to participate with his work “The Beauty of the Games” in the “9th International Beijing Art Biennial”.  The 9th Beijing International Art Biennial will be held in China in 2022 (January - March) and is organized as part of the 2022 Winter Olympics, with the theme The Light of Life. Submissions of visual art (painting and sculpture) have been invited from artists around the world.  The Beijing Biennale attracts works of art from all over the world and selects masterpieces by influential artists. The works on display are mainly paintings and sculptures. A number of videos and installations are also acceptable. As part of the cultural activities of the 2022 Winter Olympics, the 9th Beijing Biennale will also select paintings, sculptures and installations according to the needs of the branch sites (some works donated from previous sessions of the Biennale from Beijing

L'Artiste de la RDC, Hervé MBELO L'Artiste de la RDC, Hervé MBELO a été qualifié parmi un total de 5.352 artistes de 124 pays, pour participer avec son œuvre « La Beauté des Jeux » à la « 9ème Biennale Internationale d'Art de Pékin ». La 9ème Biennale internationale d'art de Pékin se tiendra en Chine en 2022 (janvier - mars) et est organisée dans le cadre des Jeux olympiques d'hiver de 2022, avec le thème La lumière de la vie. Les soumissions d'œuvres d'art visuel (peinture et sculpture) ont été invitées d'artistes du monde entier. Germany donates over 100 million vaccine doses in 2021

Germany wants to secure regional healthcare in the long term and will provide funding to help set up vaccine production in countries including South Africa and Senegal. Germany is working to ensure fair global distribution of vaccines and has donated or contractually guaranteed over 100 million doses. 2.2 billion euro for vaccines, diagnostic tools and medicines The pandemic can only be overcome if it is brought under control all over the world. The launch of the Centre constitutes an important step in Africa’s efforts to operationalize the PCRD Policy Framework, adopted at the Banjul Summit in 2006. The African Union Centre for Post-conflict Reconstruction and Development (PCRD) was officially launched on Tuesday 21 December 2021 in Cairo, Egypt. The launch was officiated by H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security and H.E Ambassador Soha Gendi, Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt for African Organizations and Communities. United States and Germany Join Hands for Young Women’s Empowerment in Zambia

Produced by the young women in the DREAMS initiative, the nearly 30,000 cloth-based products were distributed with COVID-19 support kits for adolescents and young people. The U.S. government’s Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe (DREAMS) initiative has produced 20,000 face masks, over 4,400 packs of reusable sanitary pads, and 4,000 cloth bags upon request and for procurement by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. GIZ placed the order through the German-funded “Strengthening Girls’ Rights!” program, which aims to ensure that young people in Zambia are better able to protect themselves against HIV, teenage pregnancy, and gender-based violence. L’épidémie de méningite déclarée terminée en République Démocratique du Congo

La méningite est une infection grave, typiquement de nature bactérienne, qui est aisément transmise par des particules en suspension dans l'air provenant de sécrétions corporelles. La République Démocratique du Congo a déclaré que l’épidémie de méningite qui a éclaté dans la province de la Tshopo, dans le Nord-Est du pays est officiellement terminée. Un total de 2662 cas et 205 décès ont été enregistrés.  Afin de maîtriser l’épidémie, les autorités sanitaires nationales et provinciales ont organisé, avec le soutien de l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS), une riposte robuste dans un contexte compliqué, en mettant rapidement en place des équipes locales de gestion des urgences sanitaires, en conduisant des campagnes de vaccination et en fournissant des soins médicaux, y compris avec des cliniques mobiles. Meningitis outbreak in Democratic Republic of the Congo declared over

Meningitis is a serious infection, typically bacterial in nature, which is easily transmitted by airborne particles from bodily secretions. The Democratic Republic of the Congo has declared the meningitis outbreak that erupted in the north-eastern Tshopo Province over. A total of 2662 cases and 205 deaths were recorded. To bring the outbreak under control, the national and provincial health authorities with support from World Health Organization (WHO) mounted a robust response in a challenging context, swiftly setting up local health emergency management teams, bolstering disease surveillance, carrying out vaccination drives and providing medical care including through mobile clinics. The measures helped reduce the case fatality ratio – the proportion of deaths among confirmed cases – from 85% at the start of the outbreak which was declared on 7 September 2021 to less than 10% within weeks. “Meningitis can cause devastating outbreaks. Shipping and logistics operators serve as crucial links in the oil and gas supply chain, in that they are responsible for moving goods, parts, equipment, and workers. (GNPC) has mostly served as a minority partner in upstream projects. That is, it has represented the Ghanaian government’s interests in contracts with foreign investors and collected a share of the money earned from those contracts, but it hasn’t led the way in exploration and development activities. Officials in Accra are hoping to change that.   TİKA provided bunk beds, mattresses, bed linens, and washing machines to Lomé Orphanage and Sokodé Orphanage, where 100 and 120 children live, respectively. Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) equipped the orphanages in Lomé, the capital of Togo, and Sokodé, the country’s second largest city. As part of the project, TİKA provided bunk beds, mattresses, bed linens, and washing machines to Lomé Orphanage and Sokodé Orphanage, where 100 and 120 children live, respectively. In his statement, Tchagodomou Safiou, Principal of Lomé Orphanage, thanked the Republic of Turkey and TİKA and noted that the support provided put a smile on the faces of orphans and would help them sleep better.
