UNICEF and Japanese Embassy donate medical supplies to Ministry of Health

The material granted will be used in health facilities in the Sahel, East, Center-North, North and Boucle du Mouhoun regions. This is a batch of medical equipment worth 149,667,914 FCFA, which was handed over on July 30, 2021 to the Ministry of Health. This batch of equipment acquired by UNICEF with financial support from Japan is made up of 5 medical ambulances, 6 tricycle ambulances, 10 portable ultrasound scanners and 10 electrocardiograms. This donation of equipment to the government of Burkina Faso follows the appeal launched by the Burkinabè authorities to Technical and Financial Partners for a strengthening of the health system in the face of the COVID-19 health crisis and the humanitarian crisis. "This material will help meet the expectations of health authorities by improving the transport, evacuation and referral of patients in regions affected by the humanitarian crisis," said James Mugaju, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Burkina Faso. L’UNICEF et l’Ambassade du Japon font un don de matériel médical au ministère de la Santé

La matériel octroyé servira dans les formations sanitaires des régions du Sahel, de l’Est, du Centre-Nord, du Nord et la Boucle du Mouhoun. C’est un lot de matériel médical d’une valeur de 149.667.914 FCFA, qui a été remis ce 30 juillet 2021 au ministère de la santé. Ce lot de matériel acquis par l’UNICEF grâce à l’appui financier du Japon est composé de 5 Ambulances médicalisées, de 6 Ambulances tricycles de 10 Scanners ultrasound portables et de 10 électrocardiogrammes. Ce don de matériel au gouvernement du Burkina Faso fait suite à l’appel lancé par les autorités burkinabè aux Partenaires Techniques et Financiers pour un renforcement du système de santé face à la crise sanitaire de la COVID-19 et la crise humanitaire. «Ce matériel permettra de répondre aux attentes des autorités sanitaires en améliorant le transport, l’évacuation et la référence des malades dans les régions affectées par la crise humanitaire», a déclaré James Mugaju, Représentant Adjoint de l’UNICEF au Burkina Faso.

Team Qhubeka NextHash ( www.TeamQhubeka.com ) will be back in action this weekend, racing the UCI World Tour Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa on Saturday the 31st July, followed by the UCI 1,1 Circuito de Getxo - Memorial Hermanos Otxoa on Sunday the 1st August. Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa will be a challenging race, starting and finishing in San Sebastian, with six major climbs featured over the 223km route. This marked the first time in 51 years and third time overall that the Pistons made the top pick. Eighteen international players from 15 countries were selected: nine in the first round and nine in the second round.
