US multi-billionaire Bill Gates received in his office in New York the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo Tuesday, September 24 to discuss several issues of cooperation between the DRC and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is committed to supporting the DRC in the fight against Ebola in the eastern part of the country. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also pledged to invest in agriculture in Congo says the roving ambassador of the head of state. 
The two men agreed to strengthen cooperation between the DRC and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which for several years has been financing health and development projects in the Congo. Philanthropist, Bill Gates supports through his foundation Bill and Melinda Gates, several health projects in the DRC and Africa.


Félix tshisekedi, who has been living since Sunday, September 22, as part of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, continues to meet with various actors and investors. Felix Tshisekedi uses his American experience to attract more investors. It is in this context that the Head of State received Tuesday in New York, the American billionaire, Bill Gates. Health issues, polio vaccination and eradication of the Ebola virus dominated their discussions.

In their discussions, Felix Tshisekedi and Bill Gates also discussed other topics including agriculture. The American businessman praised President Tshisekedi's commitment to developing alternative wealth.

In the entourage of the Head of State, it is said that they do not hide the satisfaction. "The meeting with Bill Gates marks the beginning of a great cooperation" tweeted Luc Gerard Nyafe, the ambassador of Felix Tshisekedi. For Félix Tshisekedi's itinerant ambassador, said Luc Gérard Nyafe, the meeting between the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Bill Gates is the beginning of a great collaboration.

In 2019, Forbes magazine ranked Bill Gates as the second richest man in the world with a fortune of 105 billion US dollars, dethroned by the founder of Amazon.com Jeff Bezos, who has an estimated fortune to 112 billion US dollars.

Finally, the President of the Republic also met on Tuesday, September 24, more than 50 bosses of major companies in the world, including Boeing, GE, Citigroup, AT & T, Bechtel Corpor.
