During the meeting of the 38th Council of Ministers in the DRC on July 3, mention was made of the request of the residents of Yumbi, settled in Congo-Brazzaville, following the violence of 2018, to return to their locality. According to the Congolese ambassador stationed in Brazzaville, they are experiencing "enormous difficulties and in particular food needs".

About 40 people have already been arrested and transferred to Kinshasa, according to military justice sources. The joint UN human rights office had spoken of possible "crimes against humanity".
