DRC Prime Minister intense diplomatic activities

The DRC Prime Minister Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba received this thursday in audience several diplomats stationed in the DRC, on the sidelines of the address of the Head of State to the nation on Friday and the swearing-in of the constitutional judges last Wednesday. 

The first to be received on Thursday evening was Zimbabwe’s charge of DRC affairs and the Republic of South Africa (RSA) ambassador. This Friday, October 23, 2020, at the Hôtel du Gouvernement located in Kinshasa in the town of Gombe, the Prime Minister, Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba, spoke with the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) in the DRC, Jean-Marc Chestnut.

According to the prime minister who delivers this information, the exchanges between the two personalities revolved around the political situation in the country, characterized by the crisis within the ruling FCC-CACH coalition. Regarding the current political situation in the DRC, Jean-Marc Châtaignier let it be known at the end of the hearing that the European Union, which does not interfere in the internal affairs of the Democratic Congo, wishes that it has a consensual agreement between the different parties. Immediately after the EU Representative, the Prime Minister received in audience the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Johan Indekeu, accompanied by his political advisor Hamed Mobasser. 

The last hearing is that granted to the Chargé d'Affaires of the African Union in the DRC Amir Idriss Abderamane. The content of their exchanges has not been filtered.
