Cassien Tribunal Aungane and 8 other congolese journalist winners, awarded by the First Lady of DRC, Dénise Nyakeru Tshisekedi for the Merck Foundation “Stay at Home” Media Recognition Awards 2020


The First Lady of the DRC, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi presented during the ceremony at the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation (FDNT) to the winners of the Merck Foundation's 2020 “Stay at Home” media recognition award, their certificates for the media work that has helped raise public awareness of the coronavirus, indicates a press release from its Foundation that reached the ACP on Friday.


According to the statement, a total of nine media professionals from several provinces of the DRC won the award. These are for the multimedia category: Jessy Nzengu (Lualaba), Muemba wa Muemba Donat (Kinshasa) and Kazadi Lukusa Nicolas (Kasai Oriental); for the Radio category: Aly Bukasa Kabambi (Lomami) and Jody Nkashama (Kinshasa).


For the Written Press category: Mathy Musau (Kinshasa); for the online media category: Cassien Tribunal Aungane (Kinshasa), Mukania Kafuata André (Kinshasa), Stephie Manza Mukinzi (Kinshasa). 


"To encourage them, I decided to involve them in awareness campaigns on all the axes of my vision, in particular on sickle cell disease, GBV, education and empowerment of women as well as young girls", said the First Lady.

As a reminder, the Merck company founded in 1668 is the oldest pharmaceutical and chemical company in the world.
