The DRC Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, President in office of the African Union met with Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, President of the Commission of the AU.
The continental response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the institutional reform of the African Union and the situation of peace in Africa are the topics discussed during this almost two-hour tête-à-tête.
Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat welcomed the perfect convergence between the Commission of the African Union and the policy of President Tshisekedi, the current leader of the said continental institution.
The DRC Head of State Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo received also the same day, Ambassador Donald Booth, at the head of a large delegation from the Africa Office of the US Department of State.
Following the first fruitful exchanges between the Biden administration and President Tshisekedi, this audience with the State Department delegation revolved around peace in Africa and the term of office of the Head of State as head of the African Union.
Ambassador Donald Booth assured that the Biden administration is setting up new bases of collaboration with the DRC and all African countries.
