China donates medical equipment to DRC Ministry of Health to fight against the Covid-19

The People's Republic of China has made a donation of drugs and medical equipment to the Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention through its Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This donation offered by the People's Republic of China to the Minister of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention was received on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the diplomatic residence of China in Kinshasa by a delegation from the cabinet of Minister Jean-Jacques MBUNGANI , led by the Pharmaceutical Advisor, Mr. MONGA KAYEMBE Thierry in the presence of the head of the Ministry's stewardship service, John EFAMBE.

This set consists of medical masks, portable breathing apparatus, masks matched with the respirator, oxygen generator support pepilines, infrared thermometers, medical gloves, protective suits and large shoulder sprayer.

The deed of official delivery and receipt of the donation was signed by the Pharmaceutical Advisor of the DRC Ministry of Health and HU PENG, head and economic and commercial attaché of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the DRC.

Donation of drugs and medical equipment from China to the DRC Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention 

For the Chinese diplomat, this gesture is part of the bilateral cooperation between the country of Lumumba and Mao in the field of health.

In this particular context of the pandemic which is ravaging the world, China is providing these medical materials to help the DRC's Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Prevention to better fight against Covid-19 throughout its national territory. .

"In the name of the Sino-Congolese friendship, we are here to support the Congolese government in defeating the 3rd wave of the pandemic," said Mr. HU PENG.

For his part, the Pharmaceutical Advisor of the Ministry of Health, on behalf of the Minister of Health, Jean-Jacques MBUNGANI, thanked the Sister Republic of China for this donation which arrives at the time indicated in this period when the DRC is facing the 3rd wave of Covid-19.

Thus, he urged to make good use of it for the benefit of the beneficiaries.

It should be remembered that China is a major partner of the DRC in health and also in other development sectors.

Beijing has continued to support health authorities since the COVID -19 pandemic was declared in the country.
