In front of catastrophics caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, France hands over 3000 awareness comics against epidemics at the DR Congo Red Cross

This Thursday, July 16, 2020, the French Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, François Pujolas, handed over 3,000 comics to raise awareness against epidemics, to Grégoire Mateso president of the Congolese RD Red Cross and Thibaud Saint Sébastien, chief of French Red Cross delegation. 

Designed in partnership with the Congolese RD Ministry of Health, the Rfi RDC Club, the Crisis Center and Support of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the insurance company Action Humanitarian France, the scenario of this comic is inspired by the realities of the campaign “NANDIMI- NAMIBATELI- NABATELI” conducted in the Democratic Republic of Congo by the Club RFI Goma, on community ownership of government and humanitarian actions in the context of the Response to epidemics.

Aimed at schools and pediatric hospitals, this work is a tool for raising awareness and informing a large and young audience about the dangers of epidemics and the importance of respecting barrier gestures. The president of the DR Congo Red Cross wanted to ‘thank France for this new support for the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the fight against the Ebola and Covid epidemics.19.

By realizing this action over the youth community of DRC, France is once again concretizing its action to raise awareness and support the Republic Republic of the Congo as part of the fight against epidemics and more particularly against global pandemic of CoVid-19. 

"Besides the actions we are carrying out with our partners Congolese in the on the ground or in hospitals and health centers, it is important to work to pedagogy on the reality of the epidemic, the importance of barrier gestures to protect yourself and to protect others."Said France’s ambassador to the DRC, François Pujolas.
