The Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court ("ICC" or "the Court"), scheduled to deliver its Judgment on next Wednesday, 27 November 2019 at 14:00 the Hague local time, in the appeal of Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo against Trial Chamber VII's 'Decision Re-sentencing Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Mr Aimé Kilolo Musamba and Mr Jean-Jacques Mangenda Kabongo' of 17 September 2018 on next Wednesday, 27 November 2019 at 14:00 the Hague local time




The Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court ("ICC" or "the Court"), will deliver next Wednesday, 27 November 2019 at 14:00 the Hague local time, its Judgment in the appeal of Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo against Trial Chamber VII's 'Decision Re-sentencing Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Mr Aimé Kilolo Musamba and Mr Jean-Jacques Mangenda Kabongo' of 17 September 2018. The judgment will be delivered in open court by the Appeals Chamber.

Scheduling order for delivery of judgment on the appeal of Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo against the decision of Trial Chamber VII of 17 September 2018 entitled 'Decision Re-sentencing Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Mr Aimé Kilolo Musamba and Mr Jean-Jacques Mangenda Kabongo'.
It should be noted as background that on 19 October 2016, Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Aimé Kilolo Musamba, Jean-Jacques Mangenda Kabongo, Fidèle Babala Wandu and Narcisse Arido were found guilty of offences against the administration of justice related to intentionally corruptly influencing witnesses and soliciting false testimonies of defence witnesses in the other case against Mr Bemba at the ICC. On 22 March 2017, Trial Chamber VII delivered the sentences in the case.
 
On 8 March 2018, the ICC Appeals Chamber reversed the initial sentences against Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Aimé Kilolo Musamba and Jean-Jacques Mangenda Kabongo and remanded the matter to Trial Chamber VII for a new determination. On 17 September 2018, Trial Chamber VII issued its re-sentencing decision.

 On 18 October 2018, Mr Bemba's Defence filed its Notice of Appeal against this decision and the appeal was filed on 17 December 2018. The Appeals Chamber held a hearing on 4 September 2019 to hear the arguments of the parties in this appeal.
