China helping DRC by giving the Lubumbashi Hospital Center in the hands of the Congolese authorities

The Chinese representation in the Democratic Republic of Congo within the framework of Chinese-Congolese cooperation, has proceded Friday, April 10, with the official handover of the Lubumbashi Reference Hospital to the Congolese government.

It was after a signing ceremony of the certificate of receipt and delivery of keys held in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the ITP that the Chinese Ambassador to the DRC, Zhu Jing presented officially the Lubumbashi Hospital Center in the hands of the Congolese authorities.

In this period of global health crisis due to the coronavirus, this center represents a powerful weapon for the response, already underway in the country, against this pandemic.

"We hope that the hospital can quickly be put into service and play an important role in the response to covid-19," said the Chinese embassy in a tweet.

The keys were handed over to the Congolese Minister for Cooperation, Guillaume Manjolo in the presence of the VPM in charge of the ITP and the Minister of Health.
