Program of 30 Flights between 21 and 27 June 2020 for the Rapatriation of 4,644 Maroccans blocqued in 17 countries amid the covid-19 pandemic

A total of 30 flights were scheduled between Juin 21 and 27 for the repatriation of 4,644 Moroccans stranded in 17 countries, on the background of anti-covid measures, 19 announced Monday the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Resident Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita.

During the oral questions session in the House of Representatives, Mr. Bourita affirmed that these flights will concern Turkey, Serbia, Mauritania, Tunisia, Hungary, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, France, the Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands, Senegal, Belgium, Italy and the United Kingdom. 

The number of beneficiaries will increase to 4,644 after June 27, against 3,151 returnees since the start of the operation on May 15, an increase of 73 pc. From June 28, the operation will continue to Germany, Egypt, the Gulf countries and Turkey, as well as other countries, he said, expecting total repatriation. 

7,800 Moroccan nationals. Regarding the countries of Asia and Latin America, "a reflection is underway" for the establishment of a regional hub to bring together Moroccan nationals, pending the organization of flights to Morocco, said Mr. Bourita.
