Statement by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman WANG Wenbin on the upcoming China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FCSA) conference.


The 8th Ministerial Conference of the FCSA will be held on November 29 and 30 in Dakar, capital of Senegal, an African country which co-chairs the FCSA.

Under the theme "Deepening China-Africa Partnership and Promoting Sustainable Development to Build a China-Africa Shared Future Community in the New Era," the conference will assess the follow-up implementation of the results of the FASC Beijing Summit in 2018 as well as the China-Africa joint efforts in the united fight against COVID-19, and will chart the way forward for China-Africa relations in the next three years and beyond.

The FCSA is an important platform for collective dialogue and an effective mechanism for pragmatic cooperation between China and Africa. In the 21 years since its inception, the forum has led the rest of the world’s current of cooperation with Africa and has become the gold standard of South-South cooperation. Faced with the changes and the pandemic not seen for a century, the 55 members of the forum overcame difficulties and met again to discuss major strategies of Sino-African friendship and cooperation and draw a new plan for cooperation. Chinese-African.

This will give new impetus to the development of the China-Africa comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership and make a further contribution to safeguarding the interests of all developing countries and promoting peace, stability, development and social development. the prosperity of the world in the post-COVID-19 era.
